1. Purpose
These general terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the website https://elitehighered.com/ and the orientation platform https://app.elitehighered.com/ (hereinafter, together, the “platform”), published by Thotis under its Elite Higher Education brand (hereinafter “Elite”).
2. Acceptance of the Terms
Use of the platform implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the platform.
3. Description of the service
Elite is an orientation platform that helps students find their way in higher education. It offers in particular content on study paths, schools, degrees and programs, orientation tests, tools for estimating the chances of admission to programs, a database of programs and an orientation assistant based on artificial intelligence.
4. Registration and account
Access to certain features of the platform requires the creation of an account. The user undertakes to provide accurate information and to keep their login credentials confidential. The user can delete their account at any time directly from the platform.
5. Acceptable use
The user undertakes not to:
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to public decency
- Attempt to circumvent the platform’s security measures
- Post or share content that infringes the rights of third parties
- Use the platform to generate misleading or harmful content
6. Intellectual property
The platform, its content and its components are the property of Thotis. The user retains ownership of the content they post or share on the platform.
7. Limitation of liability
The results of the orientation tests, the admission chance estimates and the responses generated by the orientation assistant are provided for information and guidance purposes only. No decision is made on the user’s behalf, and Elite cannot be held liable for any decisions made on the basis of these results or responses.
8. Personal data
The processing of users’ personal data is described in Elite’s data protection policy and cookie policy, available on the platform.
9. Changes to the Terms
Elite reserves the right to amend these Terms. Users will be notified of any changes by email.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Paris shall have jurisdiction.
