Our Story
Elite Higher Education was created by Thotis Media, a French digital media group founded in 2018 by three students who set out to build the orientation resource they felt was missing for French high schoolers.
What started as a content website quickly became one of the leading student guidance platforms in France, covering post-bac admissions, master’s programmes, and career paths through a combination of journalism, AI-powered tools, and social media formats. Today, Thotis reaches millions of students each year and has built a community of hundreds of thousands across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
After nearly a decade helping French students navigate their higher education choices, the Thotis team identified the same gap at a global level: students targeting world-class universities, whether in the UK, the US, Germany, Singapore, or France itself, had no single, reliable platform combining editorial depth, honest programme comparisons, and practical application tools. QS and Times Higher Education publish rankings. Neither was built as an orientation media.

Our Mission
Applying to a world-class university is one of the most consequential decisions a student will make. Yet for most, the process starts the same way: a ranking, a list of names, and very little guidance on what comes next.
Elite Higher Education was built around a different starting point. Rankings tell you where an institution sits in a league table. They do not tell you whether a programme fits your goals, what a strong application actually looks like, or what student life on that campus genuinely involves. That gap, between data and decision, is what this platform is designed to close.
Our approach is journalistic. Every institution we cover gets an independent, editorial treatment: honest programme profiles, real admission requirements, cost breakdowns, and student perspectives. We complement that with integrated application tools so students can move from research to action without switching platforms.
We believe access to reliable, in-depth guidance should not depend on where you are from or what language you think in. That is why the platform operates in nine languages and covers every major destination country for international students.
